2. I am a Godparent, I think CPSIA is……trying to keep our kids safe but overlooking the obvious. Especially now with the economy like it is, this is going to affect so many small-business owners and I think it’s really sad. I have written to my congressman and I hope it helps!

I’m a fellow business owner that will be effected by CPSIA in that I will not be able to sell any new childrens items. I will also not be able to open up any new childrens lines of products that I might have. I resell the majority of my items, but I am still devastated over this law. As a parent, and especially one with little money, I cannot even begin to imagine the terrible consequences this law will be putting on us.

Not only to the small business that I treasure so much, but also in the price increases from the larger companies. I am glad the government is trying to stop this lead, etc but this law is just to broad & it is hurting the wrong group of people!

I had not heard about CPSIA before, but now that I have I will tell other parents about it and see if I can get some more active in it. I understand testing but there is such a thing as going to far and I think they have met it. Thank you for the giveaway.

I am a parent, I think CPSIA has good intentions in mind, but really need to rethink how they go about this. With the economy the way it is, this is going to affect small businesses negatively.

I am a parent, I think CPSIA needs to rethink this act. I think being informed is being armed. I’m sure all of us have chewed on more then a few toys when we were young that would not pass this act, but are no worst for wear because of it.

I am a parent, I think CPSIA should be investigated as to how far they think they can push any of this nonsense down all of our throats. At whose cost? The economy is in bad enough shape, without making matters worst for the little guy. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway that can really protect kids.

I am a parent, I think CPSIA is going to waste a whole lot of my money because I buy a good deal of second hand items for my daughters. The idea that many resale shops are eliminating children’s items all together to avoid future lawsuits makes me cringe. And all children’s books pulled from the library? Honestly, how far is this going to go?

I am a parent, I think CPSIA is something that should be taken with a pinch of salt. It should apply more on a case to case basis, rather than wholesale like it is now.
